It locates in the central area with high density. The client manages the food company and owns the factory that is adjoining to the house. The ground floor of the house is utilized as the parking for big truck and small truck of the factory. It was the most important condition for designing the house.

According to the necessary plan size of the parking, the legal control for the exterior form along the line drawn at a slant was determined automatically without arbitariness, and the step form was generated.

The facade of each floor is divided in the lower part with the height of handrail and the upper part of the window. The belt forms of the black galvanized steel plate and the glass window are repeated mutually.

In order to emphasize the difference of each level of floor, the interior finish material of each floor is different. Therefore, they are conscious of the extent of the vertical direction.

The interior side of the lower part of the perimeter zone is used as a closet. The perimeter wall of the lower part has not only the high-performance insulation in the outside but also the closet that is closely packed in the inside. The closet is intended to have the function of alternative insulation for the high heat volume of the things that are inside the closet.

The glass windows in the upper part of the perimeter zone repeat the sliding window for the ventilation and the fixed window for the light.

Both type of the window used the glass high-efficient for the heat. Besides, inside the fixed window, the three air space, the insulation that passes the light and the another glass on the more interior side are installed in order to preventing from the heat loss.

According to those architectural details, the interior of the house gets the brightness of the natural light without high heat loss, though the surrounding houses are closed and the density of the building is high.

See the LDK on the 2nd floor. It is surrounded by buildings, but bright light comes in through the windows on the outer circumference. The ceiling height is 285 cm at the highest point.

See the exterior appearance. Each floor consists of two layers, a waist wall layer and a window layer.

The waist wall is finished with galvanized steel plate spandrel with high-performance external insulation, the window layer is paired glass, and the fixed window part is four air layers partitioned by plastic transparent corrugated sheet and glass on the indoor side. Insulation performance is improved by adding air layers and a translucent heat insulating material.

See the LDK on the 2nd floor. The waist wall under the window is a storage with a door. The storage has a heat insulating effect that the heat capacity increases as the things are stored inside.

See the LDK on the 2nd floor. The floor is composed of floor heating + chestnut flooring, and the wall is finished with Andean rose sliced-veneer and aluminum-deposited plastic board.

The LDK's fixed window on the 2nd floor has improved heat insulation performance by putting four air layers made of plastic transparent corrugated sheet and glass and a translucent heat insulating material inside the pair of glass.

See the upper part of the LDK on the 2nd floor. The right hand is not far from the neigboring factory, but the entire surface is made of semi-transparent glass, so bright illuminance can be secured.

See the upper part of the LDK on the 2nd floor. A mirror is attached to reduce an oppressive feeling by the low ceiling. As a result, the oppressive feeling disappears.

See the corridor as a space to enter two private rooms on the 3rd floor. Due to the effect of the mirror, the narrow space expands and the light is amplified. The left hand is the washroom.

See the corridor as a space to enter two private rooms on the 3rd floor. Due to the effect of the mirror, the narrow space expands and the light is amplified.

See the corridor on the 3rd floor from the private room. The front door is a toilet, with a washroom on the right and a staircase on the left.

See the private room B on the 3rd floor. The floor is finished with Chinese quince flooring, and the walls are finished with cherry wood. The waist wall is used for storage, and heat insulation is installed between the exterior windows and the indoor windows.

See the private room B and the corridor beyond its entrance on the 3rd floor.

See the bathroom on the 3rd floor. It is bright with light coming in from two sides. The floor is finished with Izu stone, which is less chilly.

See the children's room A on the 4th floor. The floor is finished with cherry flooring, and the walls are finished with beach plywood, giving the color that will not be noticeable even if the child gets dirty.

See the children's room B on the 4th floor. The desk and bed are built-in, and there is a movable storage under the bed.

See the desk, glass window in the children's room and the mirror that reflects it on the 4th floor. The effect of the mirror makes the space feel bigger, the light is amplified, and it becomes brighter.
